Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Well. I wasn't expecting....that. A very easy read with a fascinating plot and fun photos to go along with it. Enjoyable, though I admit it took me a couple days to get into it. Mostly because I've been focusing on other things but also because I found Jacob a bit difficult to like until he arrived on the island. Be that as it may, I look forward to reading the rest of the books....whenever that may be. :P

Okay, so this was interesting. It reminded me of the [b:Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Set|6604209|Mistborn Trilogy Boxed Set (Mistborn, #1-3)|Brandon Sanderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1257442247s/6604209.jpg|6798109] by [a:Brandon Sanderson|38550|Brandon Sanderson|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1394044556p2/38550.jpg] a bit, which is something because I really enjoyed that series (or what I've read of it.)
Well-written, original plot, and definite character growth, which is a bonus because I truly dislike lack of development in characters.
Looking forward to reading the next one!

Oh wow. I haven't been reading YA books lately because most of them tend to be the same. Except, of course, the Lunar Chronicles, Throne of Glass (which is one of my absolute favorites) series, and this one, the Seven Realms series. I'm so impressed! Well-written, interesting, and a definite page turner! And what's more, it feels more original, and somewhat more adult-like, than any other YA adult series. Can't wait until I can my hands on the next one! Bravo!
