More like two and a half stars. It's not that I didn't enjoy it, because I did. I enjoy Ancient Egypt just as much as any other period in history (barring American history but that's just because I was forced to read about it all throughout school and it got tedious very fast) but for some reason, the character portrayals annoyed me.

Perhaps because the initial introductions showed an annoying, catty princess and her clueless younger sister who was chosen to over her. While characters may change and grow, like in all stories, the direction the author took seemed to irritate me more than usual.

Aside from that, writing was decent, plot was okay, if unoriginal, because who doesn't like a princess coming into her own? But overall verdict? Meh.
