This book is medicine for the soul. I read a little bit a few nights a week, and I am filled with gratitude and hope and energy to be the most extraordinary woman, yet relax into who I really am. It's a modern "bible" for women. One part spirituality, one part therapy, all parts beautiful and well-written.

(This overall series review was written after finishing the final book, Heir of Novron, but there are no spoilers. Side note: I actually DNF'd Theft of Swords after the first half -the first book of the volume of 2 books- because it wrapped up so nicely. But I couldn't get the characters and world out of me head, and finally picked it back up a bit later. I am so happy I did!!!)

5 stars, first read. The Riyria Revelations (6 books in 3 volumes) is an epic feel-good adventure.

The first volume, Theft of Swords, starts off fun, a little shallow-ish, maybe cheesy or pure adventure, with not too much emotional investment. But by the 3rd volume, Heir of Novron, I was almost in tears - the depth of emotional connection I had to the characters was unexpected. And the whole series was still fun throughout!!!

Will absolutely be rereading these, plus more series in the Riyria universe. WOW!

I read Rx, a graphic novel by Rachel Lindsay, in one sitting at the library. It’s about one women’s mental health journey. I liked it, though I don’t usually enjoy graphic novels.
