When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.

With the current political climate this isn't going to be a good fit for me right now. I also feel out of the story when I got sick with a stomach bug.

She starts the book with a note to the reader expressing that she had been a bit burnt out. I wish she had given herself more time to recover. There was so much unnecessary & repetitive art that I felt like I was missing out on poems. While that is likely a formatting choice in the hands of her publisher, I think that if more poems had been available that wouldn't have happened. I also made note of less poems that resounded which could be due to there being less and due to my being in another place. That said, this falls between 3🌟  (meh not fantastic, but not bad- not a waste of time) and 2.5🌟 (Worth reading if your attention span is sunk and you can’t get through anything better  (aka comfort or junk food reads)).
