Betrayals of the Broken by Jamie L Tlax
Oh.
My.
God.
I feel like I experienced all the emotions while reading this book. I was left craving more as well because the storytelling hooked me.
You have secrets. You have banter. You have spice. You pretty much have a whole cake of deliciousness in this book.
I feel like a lot that fell short for me, will be explained in book 2.
Which if you're reading this Jaime, sign me TF up for it.🖤💋💯

I found this story literally just scrolling through recommended books on the 'zon.😅
This story is literally all over the place with three separate points of views. Each of the point views barely give character development. The slow burn between Miles and Shelby definitely kept me reading while also making me confused about what happened between them. I hope book two gives us more answers about what happened between Miles and Shelby while also introducing the other characters with better character development.

This book definitely will put you through the slow burn romance and healing of trauma.
1. I am absolutely in love with how Halle & Asher grow as couple.
2. Hunter's character will forever be etched in my brain. Having a big brother care for during the shit they went through, definitely hit close to home.
3. You are left wanting more and the cliff hanger doesn't do it any justice. 🫠🙃
4. I laughed a full hearty laugh but I also sobbed my eyes out.
I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for the second book.👀🔥

Oh. My. God.🥵🖤🔥 This book has earned its review for sure.

"The fear, the desire, the pure unfiltered madness of it all" a befitting quote for this sequel.
Please remember to check the trigger warnings because your mental health does matter. ❤️ Johnny, Lux, and Indie are the trip of unhinged, fucked up, and down right lovable. This sequel pushes the boundaries of horror and mixes it with erotica in a way that will leave you not only speechless and dumbfounded but also craving more.
I personally cannot wait for book three to come out, despite that being the last book in this series 🔥🖤

First off, this is extremely dark so check the trigger warnings and be mindful of your mental health. 🖤
The way the prologue started definitely dragged me in and keep its teeth stubbornly into my skin.🔥
The details that Nova put into each character and each chapter is beautiful. She really does make it seem as if you're there in Cirque Du Désir. It is the place for your darkest desires to come true. 👀🔥🖤

The story begins really heavy and as you dive deeper into Rosa & Nacho's background and story, you slowly see a large picture.
This story filled me to the brim with emotions and connecting to the characters in an understanding way.
Definitely a recommended story.🖤

A must read if you:

Maddick ... Er Maddock definitely grew on me. 🤣 He's misunderstood and went through some traumatic shit that he never allowed himself to fully process and heal from. One of the reasons I started to actually like him as a character.
Evie Taylor... She's beyond strong in every aspect when it came to her story unfolding. From being fiercely independent and a wonderful mother. Her growth from Posey to Evie is heart wrenchingly beautiful. Especially when she began to stand up for herself.
Bash and Charlie will forever be my favorite twins 😅 I love their devotion to their mama and their unwavering protection for her. Definitely shows you how much she loves her boys.
I could go on and list every single character that I've loved and enjoyed, however how about you go pick this book up when it comes out and get your fill and taste of this beautiful world.🔥🥰

Margot's family line is questionable at best and their secrets led to a generational curse.
I will say this book, especially the last ten chapters had me hooked, lined, and sunk. I couldn't keep up where the twists and turns we're taking me and I definitely wasn't ready for 85% of the jump scares and gasps and OMG that came from me.

Talk about enemies to lovers with some major verbal and emotional abuse in the beginning.
If it wasn't for the fact that I loved the Salacious Players Club series, this book probably would've been my second DNF in two years.
These two characters are something else.
There's a lot that can make a person DNF this book and the verbal and emotional abuse from Killian definitely will have you dropping this book. Especially if that's a trigger for you.

Starting off, the slow burn almost killed me 🤣 However, I found it extremely enjoyable and fast paced. I personally feel like the main characters were built in a way to have the story continue further in the future. The way the world was built makes you want to actually visit there. The plot shows the growth of the characters and you actually feel like you are there due to the amount of details that are put into the scenes. I was left wanting more and the cliffhanger definitely makes it a great set up for the next book.
