Wooden writing, slow moving plot… the only good thing about this novel was the quirky main character.

Such a fun read. Believable, flawed, appealing characters… just a delight.

Wow, this was disappointing. It’s an imbalanced mix of memoir and reporting, framed by the underwhelming story of Sales’ romance with a much younger man she meets on the apps. The relationship is not interesting enough to carry the whole narrative — she’s racing thru NYC to meet him for several chapters — and there are way too many stats and facts. Kind of a waste of time.

Deeply introspective novel that threads together the poetry of John Berryman and the reality tv show The Bachelor. Andrew Palmer is a colleague of mine, and I admire the inventiveness of this novel, as well as the prose.

I just adored this fast-paced romance featuring two unlikely lovers. Read it in 24 hours on vacation.
Just could not bring myself to care. The conceit of this novel is so dumb and obvious, and the writing is not good.

While I could have done with fewer descriptions of sex with Bill Clinton… I really ended up loving this novel, especially once it gets into the really speculative part about Hillary’s alternative life and career had she not stayed with him. Just fascinating to think about.

Somewhat repetitive memoir by the founder of dialectical behavior therapy. Linehan is definitely an odd duck, but I found the memoir interesting and worthwhile.

Loved this steamy romance, unexpectedly set adjacent to the porn business.

I love Lane Moore’s Twitter feed. The memoir feels a little half baked and repetitive... I skimmed the second half.
