Cute, but too short. Would have loved it to have more detail and maybe combine two books into one.

Thank you #netgalley for the ARC. I have not read any Huda books before this, and I really like how the story is told. Ms. Fahmy captures "all the feels" of adolescence, divorce, future plans, and friendships/relationships. I enjoyed watching Huda and her family navigate the situation they were in, and I had an emotional reaction to parts of the book. I would love to add this to our book club!

Thank you to #netgalley for the ARC! While I'm constantly looking for books to share with my student book club, after finishing this, I really liked it for ME. The ending was more than satisfying. Sometimes we need a book where it all goes sideways, but everything rights itself. This will be an excellent choice for my Book club.

I probably enjoyed this more than my students because she was writing about my era! Reality Bites? Yaaaaaas. The cultural references to the 90s was amazing.

It was very informative on the immigration process as well.
