Stevie is such a lovable character. She’s determined, she has a strong moral compass, she’s inquisitive and has an open heart. Her family is tough at times but filled with love. I appreciated how she reads like an actual kid.
I think it’s best to go into this book with an open mind & little knowledge about what it’s about because the plot doesn’t limit itself.

Their love is tender and sweet. Written beautifully. The ending dragged a bit but I’m assuming it’s because it’s setting up the plot for the next book.

It’s dark and tense but still manages to be very digestible. I enjoyed Rachel and witnessing her growth. I found her to be a very realistic character and her journey was methodical, which I appreciated. I don’t understand the point of Emily’s POV, it seemed somewhat unnecessary. I also don’t think her backstory justifies her role in the plot.

Ew boring. Only 11 pages in and can’t fathom staying with this main character for 200+ more pages. She’s annoying.
