Wow. I’ve heard a lot of hype over this book and it did not disappoint! This story captivated me from the beginning. Its focus is something people don’t think about nevermind write about so the themes and topics were refreshing. I’ve seen a lot of criticism on the romance and repetitive tragedy in this book and I personally disagree with it as I feel like it made sense with the story. Such a good book!!

I could not put this book down for the first 2/3. As a fan of a certain late night sketch show the premise of this book was so enticing. Overall the story was well written and flowed easily. The last third before the epilogue was a bit too slow for me at times but made up for it towards the end. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves romance and late night comedies!

I picked this book up on a whim at my local bookstore after reading the one liner on the back and cracking up. The concept of this book is so good and the humor behind it really helped bring it together. (The closest comparison to the humor and writing style I can think of is Douglas Adams and Hitchhikers Guide. Not completely similar but the way he instills the humor in his writing reminded me of this.)

However, I absolutely HATED
how the author portrayed the main characters sexuality - you can 1000% tell a man wrote this book about a bisexual female because it feeds into awful stereotypes. Davi could’ve been so great but her oversexualizing everything ruins it. I almost DNFed it because of it but my curiosity on where this story would go only slightly overtook it.

The story and humor are pretty captivating, but seeing how man writes a bisexual female character solely based on stereotypes ruins Davi for me. Hence 3/5 ⭐️

A lighthearted easy read that’s perfect for a day at the beach. Only one day though because you’ll finish it in one sitting!

Did not finish book.
The first few pages made me roll my eyes and I put it down without picking it back up again. Will definitely try again when I’m more in the mood for this type of read!
