Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.
So boring. I honestly felt like nothing really happened. I just didn't care enough to find out what else happened

I enjoyed the case and the story but did not like the narrator at all.
This was my first time listening to a JD Robb book but it will be the last.
I think this series will forever be  read and not listened

I really enjoyed this book and will continue the series even if they are really slow paced

I understand the first book in a series needs to set some ground work but I felt like this one did too much of it.

Despite that and the constant changing of POV ( I trend I see more and more but really dislike)
The book was interesting even if it was slow
Will give book 2 a chance

I started this twice and I just didn't like anyone or how it jumped from person to person narrating the story. It's just not for me

The case was good but the story was too slow for my taste. I liked the people even if I don't think they are good detectives and I don't know if I want to continue. I'll add the book to my wishlist and wait until it's on sale

Half way through I switched to the Kindle version because I hated the narrator but I never really got into the story. The plot twist was good but too much was going on . I'm going to try book 2 on audible because it's a different narrator and it was included with my membership.
I'll see if I continue the series after that

The story isn't bad but I don't like the way the author fleshed out the story. Too much information on the personal aspects of the characters and an excessive amount of mystery regarding the actual case. This obvious excess made the "secrets" more obvious and was not surprised with the final outcome.

Will not be continuing this series

There was a lot to love about this book and I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.  I'm not giving it a higher rating because the pace was too slow the first half and the resolution to fast .

I love a good police series where you know some of the characters personal lives. This book had too much of that, and spent too much time describing everything.
I read the last part on my kindle and the pace felt faster.
Im going to try book 3 in digital format to see if maybe for this series I just don't like it narrated.
