Up until the 50% mark, I didn't really like the book. It's average and I thought I'd hate it.

Then I was proved wrong. This romance is what everyone dreams of. They communicate, they fight, but the make up. Their relationship and their problems are real and not over exaggerated.

I fell in love with Scarlett & Crew fast and you would too.

Why is it not spicy?

I'd want to follow their story though.

THEY WERE SO FUN TOGETHER.

Hear me out, the book is not memorable. The writing is good but needs proofreading (i kept going back to make sure who we were talking about / where we are / what was originally happening) and the story went by too fast.

But the book was funny, the MCs were lovable and the idea youthful.

PS If you're expecting spice, you're only getting everything nice.

Where do I begin?

MMC (Reed) is more than adorable. He's blind when it comes to his girl (Tess) and would genuinely cater to her. BUT THEN he's so hotheaded and emotional that he chose all the wrong options and claimed it was out of a broken heart. Do you seriously want me to believe that someone who loves and worships his girl this much just ups and leaves this easily and does all these disgusting actions??? Hell no.

Then comes Tess. She's a sweet smart strong woman who's independent but was torn down over the years by everyone around her especially her parents. BUT THEN she's victimised herself even when she could've just walked away and let Reed victimise her to other people only to come back and do the same to her every 3 years and leave.

They're fucked up. They're sweet and perfect. They're overreacting about everything and leave at the littlest inconvenience. They're pissing me the fuck off.

At least the plot is rich, the found family is cosy & the love is strong.

The unexperienced minx and the fuckboy who caved instantly.

And then there was a thick plot and a family not by blood.

So I read through the smut scenes and DAMN THAT BOOK COVER DOESNT TELL WHAT HAPPENS IN THE BOOK AT ALL.

This book is for someone who's looking for loveable characters; FMC & MMC that always look out for each other, can't deny each other & MMC never doubts his feelings; no third act breakups; juicy smut; plot that includes mafias & secret societies; & enough puppy love to fill the whole world.

The only redeemable men are fictional.

Cole, the man you are. WHO WOULDVE THOUGHT ID READ AN OMEGAVERSE AND LIKE IT???

No cringe. Only unhinge.

TW: stalking, killing

But that's, like, completely fine.

So, first off, WHAT THE FUCK???

That was beyond twisted, and if I could go back in time, I'd remind myself to take trigger warnings a lot more seriously than I did.

I disliked the FMC - Olivia. She had a backbone that she never used while the MMC - Malachi - always came to her just because she asked. She really wasn't the Bad Bitch I thought she would be.

That book was beyond twisted. My face was 🤢 the whole time. The book was basically porn without plot and the way I was skipping most scenes makes me feel like an imposter who's writing a review of 30% of the book total.

I was GIGGLING for the entirety of this book.

Jaime & Ava; a bodyguard & a pageant queen. She's this sunshine that loves teasing him & including him always. He's the bodyguard who fell in love the second he saw her and knew he HAD to find a way to be with her.

They're not in denial about their feelings. They always work it out. No toxic man shit or shy girl who doesnt know what she wants bs. Oh, and she makes him blush all the time... HE'S A BLUSHER ♡♡♡

Ava mainly joins the pageant to help out her girl besties. She's all giggles and pink glitter. A true role model for every girl out there. I am rarely obsessed with FMC like that but she definitely deserves it.

NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP ♡

Was stuck between giving this book no ☆ and 4☆.

When it comes to writing, it's perfect. The author nicely switched from scenes to povs while the plot remained intact.
Also, chapeau for the emotions you had me feeling there. I was angry, I cried, I laughed and I felt the love from the friend group.

But then, I skipped dialogues and details. It got so boring I'd basically say I skimmed through the whole book.

No:
• story ran by like author was on a tight deadline (like me with all my assignments)
• nonexistent ineffective grovelling
• awful climax writing, didn't feel shit and it went by so fast I thought I dreamed it
• where's the character development? Where're the characters??
• only uncalled-for sex that resembles 🍇 & characters that have no self-respect

Yes:
• an amazing plot (but only as an idea)
• ...
• nothing else
