A little repetitive at times, but that further shows how many “small” actions help your life in more ways than one

Aw man…. I had such high hopes because ready player one became my favorite book SO  fast. I was left speechless and stunned…. But I thought it was a good stand alone book and was confused why it had a sequel. Still excited, I read this immediately and… it was boring. So the beginning was pretty promising…? I guess? It was a little too much world building for a world we already got to know in the last book… Wade didn’t learn his lesson pretty much and I was cringing so hard at his actions/ thought process. And then the main plot started to kick up with the shards. I think that this book has way too many 80’s references that- while some may appreciate- it was…. Not needed in a lot of  parts in this one I feel like???? And the book got more boring as I kept reading, so I twiddled my thumbs a lot before clicking enter on a Google search of what happens in the rest of the book. Uhhhhhh yeah I’m glad I didn’t finish it. Every summary to summary, analysis, etc made me roll my eyes to be honest? The ending was kinda boring too? I picked up my book and then read the last chapters myself to see if the text was better than the analyses and no… no it wasn’t idk it was so corny and felt like a “sci-fi…???” Coroline- the blue haired chick with the other mother? The buttons? yeah that. Idk not for me-
P.S.
what the fuck is “non-binary sex”???? The whole gender and sexuality explanation was so fucking annoying and not needed. He was getting somewhere alluding to the point that gender and sexuality is a spectrum but still completely got it all wrong Jesus Christ.

I wrote this review when I decided that I didn’t want to ever finish it and—— I’m not sure if I would change any word I wrote. I guess it picks up a bit but the ending is horrible lmao I would’ve rather had ready player one be a stand alone. Also, SAM! U R JUST GONNA COMPLETELY FORGIVE THIS GUY IMMEDIATELY????

Did not finish book. Stopped at 10%.
I don’t know… maybe I should’ve given this book more of a chance but I don’t think I’m interested in the storyline. I know it’s a classic and all, but the writing was too boring for me to keep reading.

This was really hard to read for me at times. It was just so emotional. Colleen Hoover did an exceptional job comparing the then and now and unraveling the story of this couple who are flawed in their own ways. I couldn’t tell which was harder to read though- the then (after reading how bad the now was,) or the now. It takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and then the last 100 pages was just a home fucking run. So worth the read for that part.
