I kept getting distracted while reading, was not invested at all, and I don't think the premise, stakes, characters, or magic were well enough developed in the beginning for me to stay interested.
Romance is clearly meant to be ETL, but it's more like somewhat dislike to partners and (what I assume will become) lovers. The two MCs are NOT enemies at the beginning of this. At all. In any way.
