Into the Wild by Erin Hunter

Iconic series. So much nostalgia.
I forgot how the writing style was in the first book and boy I am glad it improves over time.
Cringy from time to time, but then again i’m 18 and this is marketed for kids

its a book about cats so 5/5
but seriously, cinderpaw, swiftpaw and cloudkit were all introduced in this book and that made me really happy.
In the same book cinderpaws leg got ruined tho :( (I thought that happened later)
Not much more to say except greystripe is being a lowkey jerk

Forest of Secrets by Erin Hunter

This book was the most exciting one yet.
Tension was high throughout the entire book, with Tigerclaw messing around and Greystripe’s struggles as he loses his love and in the end has to leave the clan.
I couldn’t stop reading and this book has made me very excited for the rest of this series!

This book was, if possible, even better than the last.
It had tension, it was exciting and it was dramatic.
There were lots of tiny twists, but bigger ones weaved in between and I enjoyed then all.
I cried when Runningwind & Yellowfang died, I’m gonna be honest and gasped when Tigerclaw appeared in the end though I already knew he was gonna.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one; onto the next!

The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter

Once again a 5/5 read.
This book was a great finale to the prophecies begin.
Tigerstar is finally killed in this book, but an even bigger evil takes it place.
The clans decide to unite and stand with Firestar against Scourge. Epic, right?
Greystripe is made deputy after Whitestorm dies, but it should have been Longtail, clearly
anyway i had a blast reading the first series and can’t wait to read the second series: the new prophecy!

Midnight by Erin Hunter

I loved this one, but like into the wild I have to get it into the story.
Brambleclaw and Leafpaw are our new narrator, which takes some getting used to, and the events have had a timeskip since the darkest hour.
4 cats are chosen for a journey, though 6 take it, and takk to Midnight.
Though I understand the necessity to make them feel like one and thus convince the clans to leave I wonder why this message couldn’t have been given by starclan to the medicine cats? Surely the leaders would have listened to them, but I quite loved reading about the journals and characters in other clans.
Besides, I absolutely love Squirrelpaw

I liked this book but it was so frustrating as well.
Onewhisker is a pushover.
Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw keep on fighting about Hawkfrost bc they are both too proud to make up and truly talk about whatever is going on between them.
Crowfeather & Leafpool are babies tho i luv them

After this book I feel the need to change all my stars on the other books bc none of them were as good as this one.
No useless bantering.
Brambleclaw POV.
Interesting characters with interesting dilemma’s and lots of foreboding and foretelling that really give you the ‘OH THATS WHY...’ sense if you are already familiar with the series ‘Power of Three’ that follows TNP.
It made me quite excited for what’s to come.
So all in all,
I loved it and can’t wait to stary Power of Three!
