Emma tested my patience as well other characters' patience throughout the story but thank God, Jane Austen is a good writer.

I recommend that you watch the movie adaptation first as preparation for the book because the book is very long. You will appreciate a lot more the artistic decision that directors of the movies adaptation had taken. To be honest, I am not sure how I will feel about this work if I never watch the 1996 and the 2020 movie adaptation.
