Reading this was a foreshadowing to my day lmao.
but yeah I could do with it's message of finding the good in a seemingly ruined day

This was sooo sadly relatable I wish I had this book when I was in grade 6 struggling with my self identity.

The Little Black Classics Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Charlotte Perkins Gilman
4.0
I really like Charlotte Perkins Gilman's writing style. The stories are fast, attention grabbing, and sometimes have a very humourous tone.
In order of most to least favourite:
- The yellow wallpaper (5/5)
Iconic. This was my second time reading it and I liked it even more now. I noticed alot more than I did the first time I read it. Truly a masterpiece.
- Old water (4.5/5)
I cant believe I thought this was gonna be a cute lighthearted story at first about gender expectations but then things escalated. It was decent but I feel like it was too short and too fast. A little more context and development would have made the story better but overall still loved it. The ending was so funny to me I GASPED.
- The rocking chair (3/5)
This was disappointing... I get the theme of jealousy and petty men but also it was just not as good as the other two. It was fast paced and kept me reading but then the ending just......underwhelming.

The writing is awful but this was an alright read overall. I enjoyed most of it.
I wouldn't say it's young adult though it read more like middle grade.
