Dear god please take jean’s suffering, double it and unleash it on riko in hell.
I don’t have words to express my feelings. Jean as character is the definition of tragic. Of lost promises. Of being suffocated. The way nora captures his thoughts. His progression as a character was amazing.
And Jeremy. Oh jeremy. Sweet, lovely yoyo boy and captain jeremy, who hides so much behind his smile and caring words. I cant wait for book 2 when we know more.
You get less plot, but a lot of answered questions (neil only had THREE braincells : exy andrew and serving cunt-which he didn’t acknowledge) and see how a lot of stuff went down from another perspective. And the character dynamics- NORA YOU DID IT AGAIN
I will just warn you that if you are expecting the same eventful plot the last 2 books gave us,you will be disappointed. This book is about jean being forced with hand and teeth by everyone (sometimes himself) to keep going and heal. It is a hard, heavy book. It will make your heart break. But i hope it is a “success story”

if i can give it more than 5 stars I would
Bing read this series and almost failed my exam because i can’t think of anything but it.
Every single dialogue is a banger. Despite neil being a very unreliable narrator (he just fails to acknowledge anything that is “andrew oh andrew” and his silly ball game), every scene leaves you gasping and screaming. Every scene is engraved in my head.kevin the queen holding the racket in his dominant hand?? Neil was fangirlng HAAARDDDDDD . ANDREIL. YOURE A PIPE DREAM????? Poor andrew was hanging on by a thread

One of the best books ive read this year. While the point it is trying to showcase is a little shallow, it is a good introductory book to the effects of mental imperialism
