an unflinching translated book that’s written in a manner that’s so straight to the point about an abusive, manipulative relationship where a young girl loses herself, sense of self, or logic for the trashiest of man i’ve ever read about.

This book gives everything it says it wants to give.
- A wild and dark love story that is very Nigerian.
- Proper, morally corrupt characters without a guilty complex.
- Correct dark vibes. Excuse me; we have a Babalawo as the main character! The violence, damn.
- Eyebrow raising to eye covering sex scenes, adequately written, by the way.
- A fucking happy ending that is straight out of the Korean drama world.

If you're one that enjoys reading dark love stories, Sugar Daddy Chronicles: Lewa should be added to your reading list.

I did a thing…an audio review of a book! I’ve been running away from visual or audio reviews of books for years because, if I’m to take my time to record a review in this format, it has to be a book I’m passionate about, and when one is passionate about something, it’s either you love or hate it, and I would rather put that energy towards something I love.

In the latest Blame My Shelf podcast episode, I conquered one of my fears, and freestyle spoke about my love for The Mountains Sing by Nguyễn Phan Quế Mai.

This book was all over the place, the middle was my favourite part, I feel it was unnecessary being such a slow burn and the last part of the book, was just iffy, I ended up disliking ML Wes.

I Turned 30 is a book filled with twenty-nine short and delightful stories or memories from the author's life, which I found relatable and funny in many instances.
