I enjoyed this more than I expected- the dynamic between America and Maxon was heartfelt and well paced, but the added second love interest disappointed me. I would have liked to see more development from the other girls that were apart of the Selection so I could have felt something when they were sent home. Also, the scenes with the rebels felt shoved in and I had no grasp on what the world was and I didn't care. The book should have leaned more towards "fantasy bachelor" than "dystopian political whatever tf that was"

It was an easy to read, cheesy romance, which is what I was in the mood for

I'm left with no impactful feelings other than, "well, that was kinda fun"

like most ppl who have read this book, idk what rating would fit acomaf

there are sooo many things that made my eyes roll or made me cringe reading but there were just as many phenomenal and emotional moments in the book that felt really well earned that I thinj outshine the bad
