So I reserved Paper girls at my local library but what I didn't realise is that the library has book one and two listed as the same book?? So in other words I haven't read the first book but I will! Even though I haven't read the first I understand most of it, some parts i was slightly confused but I imagine it was explained in the first. What I loved most about Paper Girls was the art, especially the colours!! They were amazing and I loved the composition of every page. And the illustrations were quite good as well, not breathtaking, but still good. However, I thought that the dialogue was slightly mediocre, it was fine, but nothing amazing. The plot while cliche at times, was still fun and I was engaged the whole way through. I might have been more invested in the story and characters if I had read the first.  So overall I recommend Paper girls, it was fun.

3.5 to 4 stars. It was good, better than what I had expected to be honest. At some points I thought the story was a bit slow and sometimes things could be over explained, I think the book could have been about 100 pages shorter. But other than that I thought to book was pretty good
