This book is the first book of interconnected standalones and I need book two PRONTO.

This book follows Seneca & Malachi’s story and their upbringings couldn’t have been more different. You have Seneca, the sweetest boy that has been made to believe that being who he is, is wrong… The boy has been lied to and has gone through so much at the hands of those who were supposed to protect him the most. And then there’s Malachi, a boy with the biggest heart and loving and supportive parents, parents that have been preparing him for the inevitable with his father’s disease.

This book was so amazing, one of the few books to bring me to tears in the middle of the night. There was nothing that I couldn’t love about this story, except for maybe (not maybe, definitely) Sen’s parents & the sad excuse of a therapist his father was forcing him to go to. The anger I felt towards the toxic people in Sen’s life should be studied, if I could punch someone through a book I absolutely would. They deserve the worst and I was praying for an accident to happen with his parents just so he didn’t have to deal with their hatred, ambushes and manipulations anymore.

“𝑩𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒆’𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒃𝒂𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒈𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍, 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒂𝒄, 𝒂 𝒍𝒂𝒘 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒊𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒇𝒇 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅” - 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐀𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫

When I tell you Kai had me kicking my freaking feet when he found out about the hell his man was put through in the conversion camp, I am not joking. I was living for it! I LOVED how patient and understanding Kai was of Sen's situation. Kai was very publicly gay and I know it was hard for him to suppress his feelings for Sen when they were in public. I loved that he didn’t push him into it and was willing to wait until Sen was ready.

“𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆.’ 𝑵𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖  𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒊𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒋𝒖𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔. 𝑴𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅, 𝑲𝒂𝒊, 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑰’𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎, 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔.” - 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐚 𝐓𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐨𝐫

I was waiting for him to stand up to his family, how dare they try to ambush him on his christmas vacation. The man is better than me because I would’ve slept at the bus stop the minute they tried to control who I spoke to. Matter of fact I wouldn’t have even shown up knowing the way they felt about his sexuality and their conditions.

“𝑰𝒇 𝑲𝒂𝒊 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆, 𝒉𝒆’𝒅 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒆 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕. 𝑺𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅, 𝒑𝒐𝒑𝒔. 𝑯𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒔 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒊𝒎.” - 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞

The friendships that were formed were so wholesome. West might be my favorite, he wasn’t afraid to “square up”, the man tried solving everything with fists and it was hilarious. The way he didn’t hesitate to take punches for Sen did me in (happy tears of course). Sen truly found a family away from his parents and that made me extremely happy.

“𝑰 𝒅𝒐𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆, 𝑲𝒂𝒊. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅. 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒇𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑰’𝒎 𝒈𝒐𝒏𝒆.” - 𝐄𝐥𝐢 𝐀𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐫 (𝐊𝐚𝐢’𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫)

This story did hit a little close to home. I was not ready for the tears the scenes between Kai and his father caused. I really felt for Kai–understanding how hard it is to have such a close relative with Alzheimer’s and to have them not remember you is the worst. I appreciated that he had people in his corner that would help him through it.

“𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤?”
I absolutely would. It was so well written, I wish I could read it again for the first time.

What. A. Great. Book! And an even greater way to start reading from a new author! This book was so captivating I couldn’t put it down. If I could rate this 10 ⭐️ I definitely would.

Sabine really played tf out of all of us, or was it just me & Dagmara? And poor Claude, I really thought he was out to get Madga/Dagmara and he really had no clue wth was going on.

“𝑰 𝒈𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝑫𝒂𝒈𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒂, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒕. 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍.” 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭. “𝑰 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒚 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒊𝒕. 𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒎 𝑰 𝒕𝒐 𝒅𝒐?”

I really felt for him in that moment, the heartbreak he must’ve felt when Dagmara told him the truth 😭😭😭. My poor baby, but I truly hope that he forgives both the girls and I hope he stays with Dagmara just so Magdalena can stay with Ravi.

The questions I had while reading this were somewhat answered but now I have more questions… who is communicating with Magda (I might know who but I need this confirmed)? How are they communicating with her? What exactly is all of Madga’s abilities? What was that conversation Claude had with Annette about if he wasn’t the one that ordered the assassination of Magda’s family? Hope, Amanda, I need answers!

“𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤?”

Um, hell yes! The plot was so good I didn’t even mind that it was written in third person, ATE THAT BOOK UP and you should to 🤭 I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Wow. I could not put this book down. It was too good. Honestly what’s there not to love about this. It was well written, very entertaining. It was weird but in such a good way. It’s a hot book that’s for sure. This has fairies, enemies to lovers, arranged marriage and O r g i e s in the woods. It kind of gave me True Blood vibes in a way, and lord knows I love that show. I definitely needed more scenes with the group, though the scenes we did get were enough to satisfy. It was so easy to love the characters, though there were times I wanted to reach in and smack a certain someone (*cough* lex *cough). I however was not prepared for Carter’s text after taking off to LA… AND WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?! A cliffhanger? Really? I need book two in my hands immediately.

I enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down after I picked it up. This book follows Diarmuid and his three brides, Selene, Niamh and Amira. Amira being the least favorite for me, I truly could not stand her, she just seemed like she was doing too much and thought everyone was out to get her when in reality the only one out to get her was her own mother lol. With that being said just because I didn’t like her doesn’t mean her tantrums weren’t entertaining. This focused more on the mafia side which was great but I really needed Diarmuid to make his decision, who did he stay with? I especially love that this book was written in multiple POVs. I loved getting to read from each of their POVs and I cannot wait for the next book.

I’m going to start by saying the people I hated… Dane, I hated his guts. He was so ugh and who says “she’s in my acting class, what do you want me to say?” to their girlfriend, someone they spoke about marriage to? Disgusting behavior but moving on. Ava & Deacon… They were both disgusting trying to force James’ hand. You would think someone’s father (Deacon) would want the best and all the happiness in the world for their child but nooooo, he only cares about fame and publicity.

Now, James & Kat, I absolutely loved them together. I loved how Kat stood up for herself when it came to the contract James was required to sign, she deserved better and I am glad that she realized that unlike when she was with her ex, she seemed so insecure with him and it was amazing to see how different she was from the beginning of the book to the end of the book.

I truly appreciated the panic attack scene and how James was able to help her through it. It was written beautifully and so realistically as well (although that could just be the case for me as my partner is my anchor when I suffer from panic attacks). This in general was such a cute read, I was unable to put it down once I picked it up (until I got sick and had no choice but to put it down) and I wish I could read it again for the first time. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a cute read.

It is always a pleasure to pick up one of Estelle’s books, she has a way of making sure we don’t feel alone with our struggles with ADHD. This workbook was honestly something I was definitely looking forward to as I am constantly trying to find new ways to manage my ADHD and just as the very first book I read by Estelle this one also included little illustrations which helped me stay focused on it. I loved the ticking boxes that were included in this workbook, it helps the reader resonate with the content and the author. I will forever recommend Estelle’s books especially to those women who were diagnosed with ADHD later in life.

Well this book was quite entertaining… Was not a fan of her cheating on her boyfriend with the MMC but I also wasn’t a fan of her boyfriend so I let it go. This is considered a dark romance but like… where’s the dark part? Maybe I’m just way too into really dark romances that this just seems mild to me? It’s a good book and I recommend it to those who love a good college romance. I however got some words for Shana because how dare you do Sasha like that? Well that was disappointing… this book has the cheating trope, I would’ve loved to have that in the warning. This book is Carrie (Malcom’s wife) & Jackson (Malcolm's abandoned son). I read through the book trying to ignore what Carrie & Jackson were doing (by text) because Malcolm is a POS and was cheating on his wife but then Carrie went and decided to visit him at work in chapter 25. Why did it have to be the cheating trope???? This is not the chaos I was expecting 💀 if you don’t mind the cheating trope then I think you would enjoy this book.
