A very cute read. Could have been solved with therapy for Miles but no one asked me 💁🏻‍♀️

Thank you to Libro.fm for my ALC 🤍

What can I say? Liane knows how to write a family-centered novel and she does it very very very well. Did not disappoint.

It was suppose to give… but it didn’t give… what it’s suppose to gave? Haha

This will forever be a 10/10 for being a sapphic romance with both Jewish MCs ♥️ but my LORD that was a booooooring read. Nothing wrong with it at all! Just…. Snooze fest

Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

Thank you Libro.fm for my advanced listener copy ♥️

Sally Rooney is a genius and I will give her my all if she ever asks 😅

I think with normal people she showed us how masterfully she can write deeply flawed character. With this book she showed us how masterfully she can write deeply honest characters.

I loved both Alice an Eileen. I loved how real they both were. The reflections that came through the words of these characters about life, social justice, political inclinations, and even the pandemic are the conversations I have with my real life friends. The book felt like home - what more can you ask for?

Well I cried. A lot. Doesn’t hold a candle to Verity. Great characters, especially Lilly.

MILD SPOILERS
The diary entries of a 15 year old were overwritten - no teenager writes like that. But it’s ok.

I enjoyed it

I wanted to DNF at 50% but I stuck with it: it maybe got a little tiny bit better but not much.

I want to talk to a person who compared this to Daisy Jones: what were they smoking? Insane.

Rooted in stereotypes and not well researched.

As of right now, this is the best book I have read this year, hands down.

Charming, cute, adorable, and most importantly: oh so wholesome. I loved every minute of it.

I found myself rooting for the characters and yelling at the book pages (well, kindle screen) when they did something that I didn't want them to do. Charlie and Dev 4 Eva.

I was also deeply moved by Acknowledgments which I usually don't read but I felt compelled to continue my moments with this book for a little longer.

A true gem.
