Really short and fantastic stories. I love the way she mixes the supernatural with the historical. I enjoyed seeing the characters from her previous novel come back and learn some more background on them. I enjoyed the tales of torturous love and vengeance. Absolutely great!

It is a pretty basic history book, does not go into much details, obviously skipping major events in Chinese history that they deny to their own people but the rest of the world is well aware, like the massacre of Tiananmen square.
Great book, for learning and getting a lot of. information about what is being done about mental health and the criminal justice system in the US but it can be a guide to how things work in other countries as well. It also sheds light on the stigma of mental health and it teaches you a lot on how to treat and help people with mental health issues and great resources to find more adequate help if needed.
