It gives you an insight on the time and how young people thought, specially because when it was released, people loved it. But it is essentially the story of a guy manipulated by his best friend and gaining nothing in return, not even a life lesson, just heartbreak, a criminal record and disappointment. I believe if told in a different way, it could have been an interesting book, but it is monotonous and it repeats itself chapter by chapter.

A great history book, to understand the life of the Korean people from the beginning of Korea to the now divided one. A definite must read!

It is a great history book, it explains so much, for some people it might be biased, but after being in Vietnam and seeing what was explained in the book with my own eyes, it is clear that the book is very objective, especially the writer tries to be to the best of his abilities.

It is a beautifully illustrated book, very easy to understand and follow. Although I would have liked more details between the time periods it is well written and very interesting.

Loved the details of each crime and how creative and astute the killing of each person took place, as a forensic scientists is a great read and makes you want to think of the possibilities of it actually happening in real life.

Great reminder how we can survive with just the bear minimal, and everything else is not necessary.
