More Than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say) by Elaine Welteroth
Overall an enjoyable read. I wouldn’t read it again. While it was funny, lighthearted and filled with a few entertaining stories, the writing was very slow. I almost put it down a few times. I felt it lacked layers for me. The author also centered her success and accomplishments giving very much capitalism but Black. I found it hard to relate to her experiences as she has various layers of privilege that weren’t really spoken about.

These are the quotes I reflect on the most from this book:
As a culture, we love a celebration. We love a first. We hold them high. We all marvel at headlines and highlight reels. But we rarely discuss the marks and scars and bruises that come with breaking through glass ceilings.
When the music changes, so must your dance
We don’t prioritize our time with ourselves. We rarely set aside moments to be still, to access our center. And the bottom line is, when we don’t focus on our inner light, it dims.
We fell into a different kind of love. One that was sturdier, safer, and more like home than anything I'd ever experienced.
