“Every time I say “I”, it refers to you.”
- Visitors From Abroad

This poem haunts me. In general, this is one of the saddest poetry collections I’ve ever read. Every piece is so emotional. The sadness is so palpable, sometimes it was too much. This is also one of my first time reading, completing, and loving poems that are very very long. I think a couple have been 11 pages in my ebook reader. And I loved them too, so much.

I will be reading more Louise Glück.
