Worth a read if you’re interested and is something I’ve been personally looking for for a while. I do wish it was longer so it wasn’t as densely packed and I wish it had maybe less of a story than the stuff with Galactus and Frank Richards.

The ending was pretty cool, it was definitely predictable but I did like where it was taken, it ended up being less generic than one would expect.

This was better than volume one, there was a part in issue #7 that uses a backwards kind of storytelling where we start at the present and then go backwards. It was a lot more experimental than I was expecting from a comic book where it solely focuses on action, it was cool.

Interesting, surprised that Keanu Reeves isn’t writing some fake-deep shit, but is instead embracing the fun and mindless stuff we need sometimes.

I used to love X-men when I was younger and now that I got some money ima read from where they started. I thought it was pretty good, but if you don’t like silver age comics you def won’t like this.

Could not put it down. The idea of dimensions usually doesn’t interest me, in fact I usually hate it, but this did it incredibly well. I also liked the basis in radical politics. One of the best comics I’ve ever read.

I like the anti-moralist take on it. Nothing is good or bad, everything has good or bad qualities and the most difficult part is trying to weigh them against each other.

It has some good information but—what makes no sense to me—Gerber chose a relatively colorblind route, completely ignoring the massive effect race has on both immigration and assimilation. The book is surprisingly pro-am and doesn’t shy away from praising assimilation and putting forth a linear model of moral and material progression in America (which is a false history).

Absolutely beautiful artwork with a good story focusing on a “normal” person’s experience rather than that of a superhero’s. Definitely worth a read if you’re interested in the genre.

Gives good background but not the most exciting thing.
