a very prettily illustrated and carefully constructed narrative of a woman who we know so little about, and whose passion for public and free education long outlives her. always thankful to learn about more women in history

GREAT book for making sounds!! would love to use this in a story time. i really enjoy the illustrations, and the coming back around to each member of the red brick building as they fell back asleep to the lulling sounds :)

also, i got this on hold from my library and the covers were put on wrong causing it to be upside down and back to front which i've never seen before in my life lmaoo

this poem really touched me, i love poetry made by children it can really pierce through to the heart of a feeling in a way that is so wondrous and admirable to me as an adult poet. and the illustrations are beautifully done!

fully forgot that the narrative of this revolved around madeline's burst appendix and not girls in lines walking about the whole time. looove the use of shapes and lines like when ms clavel is rushing to the girls in the middle of the night and she just elongates with her speed so fun

excellent intro to the water cycle. good rhymes! these illustrations are wild beautiful! i love that they start the story before we even see the title with the kids finding the turtle

i didn't realize this was the third part of a trilogy until the end, makes sense i was a little puzzled lol! very charming wordless story about the circus and finding love
