this book really understands the ways children think and play. the spinning, the putting on his fathers hat to feel more grownup, the jumping with his shadow.. so cute! and the illustrations and shapes are so lovely. also, obsessed with how his dog willie just wanders the streets go prince

the use of pink in this!! yes! so smudgy and warm and adds to the feeling of connection that this book gives. both an advocate for loving trees and nature and for the awareness that there is so so much wonder in every person, not just yourself!
