i felt that the story itself developed well and i was really upset at some parts because i cared about the characters

but i finish this book kind of wanting more from it, i feel like there’s something more im meant to understand- excited to talk about it in book club 🥰

i don’t think i would have enjoyed reading this book without doing the tandem read i can’t lie 

nesryn nesryn nesryn!! i just know im not going to have her pov as much now and im sad for that, also i loved how this other setting was layered up and described i found it very fun to imagine
at the start I loved Yrene’s point of view, I loved her character and really loved the slow falling for each other thing she had with chaol. then there were these choice moments which made me find them yuck. honestly wanted him to die at the end there i thought that would have been wayyy more interesting

what a great read
seriously made the tandem read what it was, quite sad it’s over
i love how i fooled myself into thinking that i knew where the plot was going but miss aelin had something else up her sleeve 
such an exciting end to this book GIVE ME THE NEXT

i enjoyed this book much more than i thought i would.
the concepts are crazy and honestly got scared by many parts of this book when i considered how i perceive my own awareness of the world 
only at one part did i think god i don’t understand this and i think that was almost the point ?
yeah just really well thought out and made me think lots too

this has been a great read, love the way i always want to find out what’s happening 
you can see how well thought out it is which is 🤩🤩😚👏
rn though there were parts where i was like eh i don’t love how this has worked out but im excited to see where it takes the story, i have no clue and that’s really cool

hmmm it’s hard to review cos i read a good bit then took a break for other books 🤭
once you get used to the points of view ( you know who i mean ;)) this is a lovely lovely book so well thought out and didn’t realise how well thought until reading the real life sources 
such a cool way for me to learn a bit about cypriot history
also the writing style is so descriptive in a really thoughtful way idk 
she just really thought about how to write this story u guys!!!!

the set up was soooooo necessary and i love that she is having a shit time and isn’t herself at all for a while 
and wow the way it was wrapping it up, the REVEALS!!!! 
it’s making me excited and already upset for when i finish this series

i loved this!! 
tress is such a well rounded character and the whole world was so well thought out - i loved that it was different enough from this world to be interesting but also similar enough that it didn’t need to have big bits of explanations
the style of writing as well is so gorgeous, so fairytale but not in annoying way in a sweet way.
one to keep on my shelf for sure i enjoyed it so much
