I loved this book!! I didn't have many expectations from it, and it definitely shocked me. Especially the second half was A-amazing!!!
Didn't like it as much as I thought. Honesty, it was boring.
It could be just me. You can read and judge it

This. Book. Was. Amazing!!
This book tells the life of Alessandra, who was ignored by everyone and all the attention went to her sister because she was older. After having her heart broken once, she vowed to never love again and used men from then.
She had a plan to get all the attention and rule over everyone. She just needed to vow the Shadow King who didn't even let anyone touch him and after marriage, kill him to get all the power.
What she wasn't expecting was to enjoy Shadow King aka Kallias's company so much. It didn't help that Kallias asked her to fake court with him. Now what will happen when feelings began to develop between them? When they started sharing heated gazes but still won't touch? Will Kallias touch her and risk his life for love? And there is an assassin on the loose whom they also have to undercover before he or she strikes Kallias!! Who will that assassin be?
You need to read this book to find out!!
Honesty, I thought Alessandra was a bitch at first. I mean she wanted to kill Kallias for no reason, just for power even though he always was so sweet and caring to her.
As the book progressed, I began to like ot more, all the scheming and stuff

I honestly had a lot of expectations from it but it disappointed me.
In this book, Yelena an orphan murdered a General's son so she was thrown in jail and awaited for hanging. But she became the new food tester for the Commander and learned tricks on how to detect poison from Valek, the Commander's main tester. She cannot run away, just wait until one day some poison kills her.
This book didn't interest me much. Maybe not my taste. The romance was too sudden. Doesn't mean it might not interest others. If you like enemies to lovers trope (I do too) and like magicians and stuff.

I liked this book, but u kinda felt it was really dragged. Otherwise it's awesome
3.5 stars.
"She wanted to be a normal teenager again, to go to college and spend her nights reading and studying and watching Doctor Who reruns."
In this book, Aelyx goes to Earth to impress humans and save the alliance and Cara stays at L'eihr to impress the L'eihrs. Honestly, I considered DNFing the book many times during the first half. It was boring and nothing exciting was happening. The only reason I continued was to get answers to many questions that Cara and Aelyx were finding the answers to.
The second half was awesome. Many things were cleared and a lot of exciting stuff happened so I was happy.
The ending though
