Ok yall- if this is a series you haven’t started yet, this is your official notice to hop on it!

A Ballad of Beasts and Brothers picks right up where book 1 left off. This book went in a different direction than I was expecting, but I really enjoyed it!

Shaye continues to grow into herself with the help of her friends. All of the characters are soooo good and the banter is once again top tier! I definitely love the found family aspect of this book.

This book moves quickly and there is a lot to take in, but I couldn’t put it down once I started reading! I also appreciate that like book 1, this book doesn’t end on an abrupt cliff hanger. I’m not sure I could handle many more of those!

This is a book for you if you like:
-magical academia
-slow burn spice that pays off
-dragons
-found family
-multiple POV
-fated mates
-witty banter

Definitely give this series a read!!

Ok yall- this was a release I was reallllly looking forward to and I was a wee bit nervous because sometimes I hype myself up too much for books.

THERE WAS NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF!

This book hit all of the marks. One of my favorite things about Long Live was the character development and Forever Reign continued to build on that. This book was very character driven to me, but the plot wasn’t lacking at all!

There were certain characters I wasn’t sure I could forgive, but the redemption arc WAS THERE! Other characters I fell even more in love with. Anddd other characters were still wonderfully awful and villainous.

It’s not often that I would describe a fantasy book as sweet, but that’s what this book is! It’s just so sweet, and warm, and wonderful.

What to expect:
-character driven story
-elemental magic
-light fantasy
-political intrigue
-amazing cast of characters
-multi POV

Also, I don’t always love to compare books, but if you liked the Divine Rivals duology this is definitely a duology you want to jump on! Very similar vibes (but different story lines).
