Ever since I was a kid I was intrigued by Egyptian culture and mythology, this was the main reason why I picked up this book.
It gave me so much more, I loved the characters, the main characters fully stole my heart (looking at you Khaf) but I also adored many more of the characters, they were simply just fun and complex most of the time and I loved following them through their journey.
I cried, laughed, wanted to yank my phone away and I got very annoyed too. A full rollercoaster of a book, but it was perfect as a cozy little book that hurts you just perfectly.

This was a really fun book and I really enjoyed reading it. I loved that it was fast paced and I never wanted to stop. I've spent a few hours on my train ride and then my afternoon with it and finished it in basically two sitting.
I LOVE LOVE LOVED THE CHARACTERS. I loved their dynamics, their witty dialogues, I loved the two povs and it was a lovely read.

In the beginning I felt a bit meh about this book, but then I kept reading because I started to fall in love with characters and adore them. And in the end I ugly cried, so I grew to love this book, a lovely read and an easy read.
