Interesting, I liked the main character a lot. This laid some nice groundwork; however, it feels very much like an introduction to a hero, rather then a complete story arc for her.
The ending is a bit of a cliff hanger, which I find annoying, but overall an enjoyable book. I think this is particularly fun for people looking to see how D&D parties would interact together.
This was an interesting read, it is far more about the rise of Darth Sidious then Darth Plagueis. This book, unlike many of the other Star Wars books I have read this one was very light on action. Instead; it focused a LOT on the philosophy of the Sith, the differences between a Sith and a fallen Jedi, and the "Grand Plan" of the Sith for the last thousand years.
If you are curious about the Sith, about how the Republic fell to lead to the Empire, or even why it seems like there was very little military might behind the Republic before the Clone Trooper armies this it is the book for you.
If you are looking for lots of lightsabre duels, lots of info on Darth Plagueis, or star ship fights this is a book you may want to pass.

This was ok, the pacing was very odd, and at times I felt like the description of the armies took much longer then necessary. This was a decent read if you are looking to hear a lot about Nurgle, but was nothing special other then that.
This was an action packed volume. Bodies dropped! Tons of excellent fights, really capitalizing on the character building from Volume 1.
