Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.
AUDIO VERSION. I simply couldn’t cope with the narration. The southern drawl was too over the top for a contemporary genre. Not even with the Plus Membership freebie could I listen any further. First DNF is a LONG time.

narrated by Winston James and Mari.

ARTICULATION  - clean, clear, precise on most occasion.
BREATHING – controlled, volume is consistent, projection is appropriate, however mouth noise was evident on occasions.
DELIVERY – no editing issues.
EYE BRAIN MOUTH CONTROL – some obvious mouth noise throughout which was distracting on some occasions.
CONSISTENT – great for all characters.
ANALYSIS – story arc and characters delivered well.
CHARACTERISATION – somewhat suitable in tone, attitude, age, and accent.
SEPARATION- no obvious spillover between narrator and character.
INVESTMENT – emotionally connected to the story which lead to a great visualisation.

STORY
A sweet story. A good ear bud nibble. Listened to on my free Spotify read. Not worth a book credit in my opinion.

STORY:

The way the author ties in the timelines of the previous books is sublime. A little subtle nod to the other characters from the previous books helps create and maintain a family narrative for the reader. This is fabulous! The author clearly understands that her books are written for the fandom and , for one, am a proud member indeed. Yes, the trope is not for everyone, so be open minded and enjoy a lovely modern romance. Go the Rays.

Now this book creeps up slowly with the twists and turns that would rival any snake.
