This felt both like a classic fairytale and a very modern story. At least one full star for the hedgehog.

Directed towards young people as anyone who has had their period for a while will probably not learn anything they didn't already know. I like that it focuses a lot on period poverty and has a chapter dedicated to incarcerated people. However, it also focuses a lot on particular brands and at times it feels like an ad for her own organization. I also think it could be shorter as it feels a bit repetitive at times.

I'm not even a fan of slashers but this was incredible. I really connected with Lynnette's trauma and worldview, and I felt for her the entire time. I also think the commentary and plays on the genre are fenomenal. It's also really engaging, I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended.

Wicked - The Life and Time of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire

I liked it better the first time. Maguire's style is too weird for me. The Time Dragon and the Adepts and all of that bores me. And it's kind of hard to connect with the characters. I do love the way it portrays Elphaba's relationship with her family, though.

Classic children's book with *check's notes* dismemberment and grooming.

I enjoyed it, it's cute and readable, but not a series I'll continue.

I really liked the way we dip in and out of these people's lives and how it shows the different ways people change and evolve. I feel like some of the stories could have been a little more developed though.
El Jardín Olvidado / The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton

It took a while for me to really get into the story, but once we arrive at Eliza's perspective, I was completely hooked until the very end. As usual, Morton has the ability to make you care about every single one of these characters, even when you don't agree with their decisions at all. Even though I knew it all ended in tragedy, I was still hoping for bright moments for these women. The connection between all of them throughout the years was very touching. Morton is one of my favorite authors for a reason, and I remember it every time I pick up one of her books.
