Very informative work and an important showcase of how white privilege and it's power structure run deep.

Definitely a middle book, but the world building makes it interesting. The magic system and dragon bonding continues to expand.

Ends in a cliffhanger.

Magic system got cooler, solid character growth. The world building is interesting.

Cool magic system. Interesting smutty parts. Academy setting tropes and character moments were a little less compelling, but the character growth near the end was good.

Interesting book with a unique world, but I do not recommend the audiobook. The narrator is great, but this book is dense and audio does not work well for it, unlike Wells' Murderbot books.

Not quite a 5, but I don't want to use partial stars. A lot of world building and character development happens here.

It does have somewhat of a cliffhanger ending though, so be ready to jump into the next book!
