The Crash by Freida McFadden
2.5
This was okay. It was definitely better than some of the other books by this author that I've read. However, it's becoming painfully obvious with every single book that I read from her that her books are very similar to either her previous books or even other authors books. I was getting major Misery vibes from this.

The start up to this book was amazing. It's been a long time since I've read a book about faeries. However, the very graphic detail of the injuries given in this tournament kind of took me out of the story as a whole.. I no longer felt like I was reading a fantasy romance but a horror novel disguised as fantasy

The Charlie Method by Elle Kennedy

This is one of the worst books I ever read, and that's strange coming from an Elle Kennedy book. Everything I said in my first status update stands: It felt like the start of a new book series instead of a continuing one because Charlie literally came out of nowhere. I really wanted this to be Will and Beckett's love story because I knew she wrote books like that before then she made it poly. It wouldn't be so bad if the FMC was Maya or somebody we knew. The duet narration was a nice touch.
This literally felt like it was two people in a relationship with an occasional third that they only use for threesomes
If you were disappointed by this book as well and was looking forward to the whole best friend falling in love with each other and another person coupling you should read Pucking Sweet. It was everything I wanted this book to be and more.

I’m all for the burn survivor and anxiety representation but it can only go so far. She was unnecessarily jealous of her best friend. I also didn’t like how the guy called women bimbos

This was really good. So many important topics were covered. However, when it got to his dad dying I was not emotionally ready or able to handle it so I skipped that part of the book
The Graham Effect by Elle Kennedy

This might be my favorite Elle Kennedy book so far. I’ve never thought about a third act marriage before, but it’s a hell of a lot better than a third act break up
Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe

I wouldn't necessarily say I relate to either one of these characters fully. More like seeing myself as a little bit of both of them. It was cool to see the back-and-forth being done in a very playful understanding and loving manner.

Most of the Disney book that have been written recently expand on the movies or give an alternate POV or an alternate scenario. Going into this, I thought it would be the movie from Hans point of view., the whole thing. If I knew it was going to be a simple novelization of the movie I probably wouldn't have read this

There were too many fake outs about who the love interest would be. I found myself having to read the synopsis, which I never really do to figure out who it actually was. I also did not like the third act at all
