I loved that her love story was a lot like her parents with the single dad. I also appreciated the whole Huntingtons plot. However the marriage came out of nowhere for me and what is it with this series and making me temporarily hate the characters who I gave five stars to their books. First Jace in the Keeper and now Scarlet

I loved getting to see Gigi and Ronaldo's relationship or at least part of it. The book ended in a really weird place and I felt like it could've been way longer than it was.. I even scrolled to the back of the book to see if there was an announcement for a second one that's how unfinished it felt. Also, I don't know if I completely missed all the trigger warnings but I was surprised to see
John SA Gigi on the page. I knew he was a kind of bad guy, but I was not expecting that for some reason.

I liked this book a lot. How the house trapped her and how she figured out the mystery of the little girl. One thing I didn’t like and kind of still have questions about is was she really crazy or was the house making her think those things to keep her there?

The love story was cute. I loved Ares and how he was with her. However, everything else kind of sucked.
The amount of times people said good twin was kind of infuriating. How Everly kept saying Ares he was a manwhore, like did you ever bother to get to know your husband's brother. How everyone except for her parents and Ares treated Grace like she was made of glass. I also don’t understand how Grace thought she could ever disappoint her parents because they are literally the sweetest parents in the world

I was incredibly jarring to find out the main characters were people we didn’t really know. Going into this I assumed it was going to be Aaryas book because they talked about her finding love so much in the first book. it felt like the published these books out of order. Also I love why choose but for some reason, I can only get into them if they are one female, multiple males

When I first saw the title, I thought this was going to be a retelling of Jack the Ripper, which I guess it kinda was. However, who ended up being the killer seeming came out of nowhere. If I was basing my review on just that this would have been a three. But it is my experience getting this book that made it a one star. I found this book in the young adult section of my library, it wasn't until I got home and started reading the book that I realized it was not for young adults at all. Not only that, but there is literally a naked woman on the cover. When I returned the book to the library I made them aware because even though I'm not a teenager and am used to having explicit material in my books, the next person might not be, and I wanted to help avoid a situation like that
