I love this book, and I love the way she writes, so whimsical and touching. This was a re-read and the impression I got this time was that the characters were free in a way that in most stories they are not. They exist outside of the story we are told, most books you follow along their every move and are presented with their every thought, but Erin Morgenstern has a wonderful way of writing so that the story is not confined to the page.

Thought provoking and witty read. I loved the absurdity of it, so dream like, it didn't take itself too seriously. The last chapter in particular can be dissected in so many angles
