The plot was interesting for the most part, I didn’t care for the writing much and there were a few plot holes or things that didn’t quite add up but it was enjoyable overall

Amazingly well done collection of mythology. The authors insights are very helpful, and I was interested the whole way through. It was a bit strange to me to add about 10 pages of Norse mythology at the end, though I enjoyed it, it could have been left out or expanded properly

For the shoemaker, keep reading, seek bewilderment, falling into manholes.
I loved this book, it was very funny but sincere in its meaning, it made me tear up at the end.

My favourite thing that I’ve read from Virginia Woolf so far. It was witty and well constructed, critical of society and sympathetic to the human spirit

Dickens writing is great, particularly his descriptions, however he is a bit meandering and I find it hard to focus when reading his works. It took me several months to finish this, and I don’t believe it will leave a lasting impression on me.

So many beautiful lines and wisdom in here, truly something that must be revisited time and time again to ingrain it within you
