It's my second time reading Junji Ito's manga and I really like the stories plot and the illustrations are creepy and haunting, omg!

There are 12 short stories. I would say there are some stories that really good and some others are a lil bit boring..

I was pretty excited when my request was accepted and in a short time I devoured this bcs it's so page turning!

The story follows Claire and her husband, Noah. They're struggling to maintain their marriage bcs they hate each other now. One day, they go for vacation, hoping their marriage can be saved. They go with their friends to an inn in the wood. But suddenly the vacation went wrong when one by one they mysteriously disappeared and they run out of water and food.

The premise is intriguing and the plot is fast paced. We got 2 POVs here, Claire and some Anonymous, which is make me wondering who the hell this Anonymous is.

The atmosphere was good, I can feel the horror, how terrified and frustated the characters are when they got lost in the wood and one by one disappeared.

Personally, the characters aren't lovable lol everyone is suspicious and annoying in their own way.

Lastly, for me, the plot twist is unexpected which is shocking me. But tbh I wasn't satisfied with the ending.

I would recommend it to the readers who loves mystery/thriller genre, especially who-dun-it. This book is worth to read!

Thank you NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the e-ARC in exchange of my honest review!

It's been a while since I read the last volume of the manga. I really love how the story turns. This volume is thrilling and emotional. I love how serious of the story told, but at the same time it's pretty lighthearted too bcs the author insert funny scenes that made me laugh. Looking forward to the next volume

This is my first Freida McFadden's book and I'm so excited when I received an e-mail where my request was approved bcs I keep hearing her books are good and were recommended by my moots.

The book follows Brooke who went through a traumatic event at the past and she has returned to the town and work as a nurse in prison, where she meet her first love, Shane, who got jailed bcs of her.

Soon Shane confess to Brooke that he didn't commit the crime he was accused of.
.
The book is page turning, I devoured the book on my five and a half-hours journey on the train..

This book has dual timeline, present day and 11 years ago, when Brooke's trauma happens, it makes me guessing the theories that can possibly happen & its correlation of present day.

Idk if I like the characters lol the protagonist is sooo unreliable and it frustated me. Instead of the protagonist, I like the protagonist's son, Josh, a lil bit more bcs he's cute and innocent.

The twist and turn is pretty good, especially the twist in the epilogue, it's way more unexpected.

Overall, it's pretty good start to know Freida McFadden's book. I think I'll check another book by her. I heard her other books are no less awesome.
