This is an INCREDIBLE book!! I've been vegetarian my whole life and wanted to go vegan for a while, but I could never seem to give up dairy because I didn't think it was as "bad" as meat. However, this book changed my perspective and showed me how harmful and exploitative the egg, meat, AND dairy industries are. I knew a little bit about factory farms, but the absolute cruelty they display was shocking and horrific, not to mention the disastrous ramifications that animal exploitation industries have on nearly every aspect of our lives.
"Every time we eat, we have the power to radically transform the world we live in and simultaneously contribute to addressing many of the most pressing issues that our species currently faces: climate change, infectious disease, chronic disease, human exploitation and, of course, non-human exploitation. Every single day, our choices can help alleviate all of these problems or they can perpetuate them."
I 100% recommend this book to vegans, non-vegans, and everyone in between!
