Forgiving Fate by J. Laine

This to me is a contemporary romance with tons of emotions, healing, love and a bit of mental health subject matter. I don't feel this is a dark romance because I didn't get that vibe. That being said, I think this book was so well written and the characters were spot on. Reading Allie and Landon's story grow was the focus of this book and how well they mesh even though there are dark days, believing and forgiving “they” make this book. Yes, it is a slow burn and I am not much into slow burns, but I was happy to read this and have a break in my normal routine. J. Laine did an amazing job representing mental health and I am glad to see it not overly played out. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends. 

Never say Never by Emily Klepp

“Mind Blown” This has to be one of my favorite Emily Klepp books. I was so excited to get this book and I was not disappointed. Keylee endures so much abuse and the trauma is overwhelming. Thankfully she is stronger than most and she knows it. We all hate Nate, so I will move on from him. Daria is her best friend, and enters three hawt men, What's that make? Kaylee, Daria, Gideon,  Reese, and Hayden = 5 for fun! I will say Please check your triggers, I dont say that alot but I will say that here, This is one of Emily’s darkest books to date. I love these characters - Nate, I love this storyline and I love this author. 

THE REAPER'S VICE by Mindy Paige

Orion and Seraphina’s story comes to an end in this book. I have read about their adventurous story all this way and I am almost sad it's over. Orion still loves Seraphina to the end of the earth and he may be a little unhinged but I'm down for that. Seraphina is still a take no sh!t bad@ss that I am happy to see her be. I love that we get our extra characters in this book from past books also. This story from book one to this ending was awesome, these characters just stick with you in your head and you just want the whole thing to work out. Mindy Paige wrote an amazing series and I can't wait for what else is to come.

 

The Pretty Psycho by L.K. Reid

Book two in the St. Vasili’s Academy series, and like book one, The Pretty Savage, it did not disappoint. You get that completely emotional read with just enough of a rollercoaster ride. You must read book one first, Like if you don't read it you won't know what is going on here, so I strongly suggest it. This one picks up right where we left off and I am so happy it did. Vega is still a bad@ss with just a tad bit of trauma and Adrian is still mad for her, so much that you can't get in his or her way. Yes they have their issues, but who doesn't, this unhinged relationship thrives off of the love/hate. These characters are again Amazing and I'm so glad the storyline starts off strong. Now I will say that this is not a slow burn but it is also not a fast burn either, and I am left hoping for a book three. 

A Storm is Coming by Orion Azure

Dear Lord, bring me a storm, Lord three men on a holiday break? I hate winter but sign me the Fúk up. Skylan was just on a casual Christmas break and then here comes these smexy masked men with completely different personalities. This short, twisted, enticing read gave me the break I needed to unwind with a quickie (the book silly). This is my first Orion Azure book and if they are all like this then I am all in. The short but oh so sweet storyline kept me totally engaged and cozy also. Loved these characters and everything they gave! 

Secrets Of The White Rabbit by Jessica R. Smith

I have been following Ms. Jessica Smith for a while now and I knew going into this that it is her first book debut. I am so impressed with this and It doesn't seem like a first, it is beyond good. This book hit all the marks of a seasoned writer. Pitch black romance is my thing, bad men you want all to yourself, and a bad@ss FMC with a smart mouth and a bonus. By the time I got towards the end I was hoping for the best, but NOPE not here, it keeps me on the edge wanting more. If you like your men with tattoos, Smex, Anger, and so much more then get this book NOW! 

Quinlan by Eva Marks

Why choose, I can't, I loved each and every character in this book. Rome, Liam and Damien endured quite a bit of trauma and yet Quinlan was on a higher ground than them. Although she didn't always have it easy, there was enough for her to fall in line for revenge. As revenge is in play and hidden traumas of her own are revealed, These three men find that Quinlan is not as perfect after all and they find themselves needing to help and protect her. I loved this book and when it comes to Eva Mark’s books, I'm never disappointed. Eva is my spirit writer (kinda like a spirit animal yet she is not in any way an animal). I loved this storyline and everything it brings. I can not wait for the next Eva Marks' book. 

Darkest Dawn by N. Owens

I'm loving the novellas this time of year, and this is no exception. I love love love it.

Ciaran, our MMC has a major thing for Dawn, our FMC. I'm not talking just a flirty thing, I'm talking obsessive stalking.. Innocent Dawn here is all “treat”, but she has this dark side to her that Makes me giggle just a bit. Twisted girl meets obsessed boy and there ya have it, smex, twisted love, stalking, masks and so much I can't say here. So read those triggers. N.Owens has not disappointed me yet!

 

Touchdowns and Tinsel: A Dark Why Choose Twisted Christmas Novella by K.M. Rogness

Sport themes are so not my thing, but this taboo christmas novella is! Four “hot” football players and one trauma filled girl, Yes please, this is it.. These characters were made for the pages and each other. I loved the short storyline tale of smex, taboo, reverse harem, and so much more. I'm so glad I read it because it was so worth it. The added Christmas theme was a bonus too. KM Rogness sure knows what to put down in writing. I can't wait to read even more.

Bound By Oath by K.D. Martin

Vampires of Las Vegas book series, #2 in the line up and I am still here for it! As expected this book will set you on a rollercoaster of twists and turns and intense emotion. The characters are so amazing and the storyline here blew me away. Alexander, our MMC, takes a liking to Charleigh, our FMC. He “turns” her but she still remains torn between two worlds, the one she knew and the one she now is in. I can't express enough how much I loved their story here. This book could go on forever and I would not complain. KD Martin is amazing, I can't wait for book three in this series.
