Bourbon & Lies by Victoria Wilder
4.0
I have been on the hunt for a new romantic suspense author to follow, and Victoria Wilder fits the bill to a T. I really liked the story, the characters growth and relationship, and the suspense. I cannot wait to continue the series.
Sociopath by Patric Gagne

2? Maybe? I know there's controversy around the author and her credentials and education. I found this to be exhausting to listen to. I think she would be insufferable to have a conversation with.

For Whom The Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn
5.0
I have been a fan of Jaysea's skits for years, and was so excited to read the finished copy of Lily and Bel's tale. She knocked it out of the park. The personal journeys, the romance, the mystery and fantasy of it all... it was just great. It's selfish to say I want more, but I do! I can't wait to see where Jaysea takes the world next.
Buckled by Pam Godwin
3.5
Well, first thing's first. This is significantly better than the first. Leaps and bounds better. The main female character being named Maybe drove me insane, but overall their romance was what I expected from the previous storyline. I will continue the series because I truly wonder if any of these men can be actually romantic.

I just can’t seem to get into it.
Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney

Alice Feeney, the author that you are! I loved this. The story kept me captivated and the subtle tension that was simmering the whole time really added to the twists and turns of the plot. I really really enjoyed this one. Another Alice fave.
All That Is Wicked: A Gilded-Age Story of Murder and the Race to Decode the Criminal Mind by Kate Winkler Dawson
3.5
I hate to go with my standard "it was a book" type of review when something was perfectly middle of the road for me, but I fear this has fallen in that stack. I was intrigued by the premise and by some parts of the story, but some parts felt a bit repetitive and I honestly just didn't find much about the person of interest interesting.
Chasing The Wild by Elliott Rose

This was a good book. It was, in theory, right up my alley. It was just so long and a bit repetitive on the conflict.
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst

I was drawn in by the beautiful cover and that it was supposed to be cozy and I really enjoyed this. It was a joy to be in Kiela's head and following her story from beginning to end. I liked the twists and turns and the way the fantasy aspect worked. I also really LOVED Caz. Just such a fun time.
James by Percival Everett

Really fascinating and interesting view and take on an old classic. I was very intrigued following Jim's perspective and hearing the story from an adult POV as well.
