Man 😭 this one got me! So well done, touched on a place of enslavement that I’m not familiar with (Texas). watching the community these women built with each other and the way their stories were spun had me ready to cry.  The scenarios/situations were pieced together so realistically, while always showing us the humanity and resilience of our ancestors. The end had me sad and wanting more for those women. Overall, 4.5⭐️’s.

4.5⭐️ I’m thoroughly invested in Oraya and Raihn 😭😭😭 I loved watching Oraya grow and change throughout this novel. Love their romance, banter, and the spice🥵 I’m excited to see what happens next in this world of Nyaxia’s.

This series is a mess, but the kind that keeps on giving. I hope in the next few books the girls really get into their lil magic wielding bag and get to it! 👏🏽

Her? An assassin. Him? Mafioso’s next in line. Them together? Everythingggggg! We stan an obsessed, do-anything-for-his-woman type of man! And Lucia was literally THAT girl💅🏽 I loved her character and how she held her own in a man-centered society. I’m ready to see the next story we get in book #2!
