It was fun. Light-hearted for the most part. Suddenly got intense near the end for a second but thankfully
ended with a good note.

I don't like that these books normalise regular random sex but other than that it was fun.

Smooth read. Nothing to fuss over and nothing to get annoyed by. A simple slow feel-good book.

The amount of smut was a tad bit too much for my current preference.

I'm usually disgusted by threesom in books yet suprisingly Becket and Will having one with a random chick made me chuckle. Weird.

Loved it. Loved almost every part of it.

Loved the childish way Miles was in the past and loved how he became the same old eighteen year old Miles in the end with his giddy excitement. Loved how the author conveyed it with alignment.

Loved the writing style. Loved how two stories, one past and present gradually unfolded simultaneously.
Clayton dying and Rachel leaving Miles was heart wrenching.

I don't know if Tate needed Miles but Miles definitely needed and deserved Tate.

I was so scared they'd kill Cap. I'm glad, he didn't die. Loved that old guy.

It was beautiful. I loved the ending that wasn't exactly an ending. It wasn't a happily-ever-after and it made so much sense. I was intake bored at Eliza's parts but the ending was wrapped up so good.

I felt closer to Akiva than I did in the previous books.

I loved so many characters...  Ziri, Liraz, Zuze, Mik, Hazael.

Similar to Jorem's death in book 2, Jael's end was too simple and abrupt but unlike the former, the latter felt apt. Like Jael isn't worth anything more.

Loved it.

The first 100 pages were slow and a bit boring. The second half had some really good twists. (Only the one or two twists getting this book 3.5 instead of 3)

I was hoping that Brimstone was alive. Hazael shouldn't have died. Thiago made my senses cringe.

It felt like all the main 'bad characters' died too suddenly. Joram's death could've been done better. It made him feel like a worthless villain (dying naked in the bath!?), especially as he was constantly mentioned in Akiva's thoughts.

It made no sense that the Amzallag and the Shadows That Live readily died on Thiago's command.

I liked reading this one but once I put it down, it was difficult to take it back up and continue.

I have mixed feelings for this one.

It's like it was both medium-paced and slow-paced at the same time. Most of the book felt like an intro as most first novels of a series do but this one wasn't boring in the slightest. It didn't have any intense scenes. It was a calming read. The irony,
considering it is a book about war.
Nothing made me too interested nor disinterested.

I liked the ending.
I hope Brimstone is alive. I hope the wolf dude... I don't know, get humiliated, maybe.

It was beautiful. The ending
where they named Starr.

I was expecting this book to include how Maverick went to prison. But that's okay. It was still good.

I felt like the relationship between King and Mav could've been talked about a bit more.

I won't say there was content to consider it a prequel. A bit-too-long novella, maybe.

Seven is such a cutie.

I didn't know I could feel so many emotions at once. Such good writing.

I'm jealous of Starr. She has such a good family. His dad is just- The best. And Chris.
Chris is such a sweetheart.

I hope it gets better for people of minority. A book that's both sad and heartwarming at the best.

This is a morally-gray-characters trope at its worst extreme. Simply the most uncomfortable read of mine yet. (Excluding den of vipers. That doesn't even count as a romance novel. It's pure erotica.)

I think according to Zade, the solution to every problem regarding Addie is brutally fucking her.
I don't understand you dude.

Part 1 was torture to read.

Did I need to know about
what girls face in sex trafficking
? No. (maybe I did but that's not the point here)
Did I need to know how toxic a man can be? No.
Did I need to know how stupid a girl can be? No.
But I did. This book taught me shit I absolutely didn't need to know.

I began to hate Zade.
Like htf can he not find her for months given his reputation.
He didn't deserve all the build-up he got and gave himself. He calls himself God!? Pffff. Lame.

Even though part 1 was longer than necessary, it was better than part 2.

Part 2 was an absolute mess.

Everything from part 1 was repeated but by Zade this time in the name of love. Dude, do you even know what love is? Wtf was the difference between the sick fucks and Zade? Nothing.

I don't have any idea about PTSD but I don't think that's the way you deal with it.
This guy is sick in the head.

Dickhead saves her from something traumatic, then does the same shit to her himself and then gives an explanation to why it's okay if it's him (his explanation doesn't even qualify as an excuse), then goes and contradicts himself the next second. And the stupid crazy girl validates his behaviour.
Are y'all mad?

This book was the worst humanity could offer. I don't understand how so many people are simping for Zade.

Rio's note at the end was wholesome.
I guess it was the only likable, readable page of the book.

I almost squealed when
Aren and Lara showed up in Maridrina.

Though I hated and rushed through most of Zarrah's pov,
I loved the final battle. I thought Saam was gonna die, given he had an almost golden retriever energy but thankfully he didn't.

I guess we all knew that Keris would eventually give up his kingdom. I'm glad he didn't change into a bad guy like I feared.

I started to like Aren in this story more than I liked him in his story.
Probably because of all the mockery.
It was funny and a bit heartwarming.
