This was on the library's displace shelf for books that are being adapted into movies, so I obviously had to read this one. Especially because Matt Smith is going to be in the movie and I have a thing that requires me to read the book before watching the movie. This absolutely counts.

It's a fun story and idea, but I think it fell short in this version. Although I did enjoy much of the artwork, the scenes didn't seem to mesh properly and it was hard to keep up with. I'm pretty sure they just took some scenes from the book and said, "Okay, draw these." with no regard over whether or not they flowed.

Overall, the point of this was for amusement... and I was definitely amused.

Sofia has been harassing me to read this for well over a year, so I finally gave in. Apparently Cath reminds her of me. I'm not sure how I feel about that... especially since I agree with most of the reasons.

I liked this one more than Eleanor & Park. Probably because I connected with the main character so much, which I'm still miffed about... ha!

So... I have a fanfiction.net account, since I was 16. Except I've never actually finished a story because I'm horrible at that. I'd show you my account, but I don't hate any of you enough.

Honestly, I'm not that big into Rainbow Rowell's writing. I don't dislike it, but it's just not my thing. I don't understand the big deal. ...and she writes scenes that remind me of certain aspects of my childhood that I don't want to remember.

Also, I think I liked the excerpts from Carry On more than the rest of Fangirl. I've put a hold on it at the library, so I'll read it at eventually. The library only just got it, so I have a bit of a wait.

It was enjoyable, even if it made me cringe at myself way too often.

AI have a list of books that are becoming movies this year, and I'm planning on reading as many of them as I can. This one was on that list, and that's really all I knew about it. Also, both the book and audio were available from the library, so I got both of them because I was told there are pictures in the ebook that I need to see. (It's true. Also, I heard that they were hard to see on the kindle. I disagree. I didn't have any issues.)

There's kinda like... two stories in one in this. Part of it takes place in modern times, the other part during WWII - but with the same guy as the main character because TIME TRAVEL! But also, fantasy. And then throw in some family drama and you've got yourself a book that is hard to put down.

My least favorite part was the bit of romance going on between Jacob and one of the peculiar children, but it didn't put me off from the story. It just frustrated me a bit, and I wanted to hurry and get through it.

Other than that, much of this was pretty awesome. I will be continuing this series. Not so sure if I want to watch the movie though... although it IS a Tim Burton film. I guess I'll wait until I see a trailer or something.

In my kick to read more Colleen Hoover, I decided it was time to read this one. Also, I'm thankful Sofia made sure I listened to the playlist. I downloaded it from spotify and play the songs as they came up in the book.

It's so hard to word everything I want to say about this book, because spoilers... but, holy plop... wow! This is NOT what I was expecting!

There's so much about it that frustrated me... causing me to yell at it. I both hated and loved Ridge, depending on the page. (sometimes both at once)

I want to comment on certain aspects, but I can't! Just know, big props to Colleen Hoover for writing a main character this way. Loved it!

So... there's a some weird sort of love triangle-ish things going on in here. Usually I do not like this in books. Honestly, I didn't like it in this one either. It was annoying and made me want to smack people.

There was something I expected to happened, and was already pissed about it. When it didn't happen, I was shocked. Pleasantly surprised! Another super mega props to Colleen Hoover for that.

This was another fantastic book from her.

Really liked it. Except Justin's section. I though it was silly how Auggie, Summer. Jack, Via, Miranda, and Julian's chapters are all grammatically correct... and then Justin's has no capitalization or quotation marks.

Other than that, great story. Highly recommended. 4/5 platypires
