Loved the concept of this anthology! I loved how each story jumped from varying time periods, and not in chronological order. Overall, I was hoping for more diversity within the queer content, specifically, but amazing concept & great short stories!

Such a sweet book about parenthood in general, I loved reading recollections of their family memories, collaboration, and navigating new parenthood struggles. Of course, how they did all of this while exploring gender creative parenting in a heavily-gendered society. I think we could all benefit from this book, parents or not.

Really enjoyed this book! The first I’ve read by the author so didn’t have any prior knowledge or expectations, other than it was a Pulitzer Prize winner. Looking forward to checking out his other works!

Loved this book & glad to have stumbled upon it while I’m going through YTT. I wish I would have read Every Body Yoga first, but the library had Yoke available to me to read first, so it is what it is. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is interested in practicing (or teaching) yoga.

I love all of his books, and had very high expectations… Devil House certainly did not disappoint. Don’t wanna say too much; it’s an incredibly unique, strange, and thoughtful work of art & i’d expect nothing less. Already excited to read it again!

Overall, I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I thought the premise was great and I appreciated the references and how each of the final girls are based on ones from classic slasher films. I think this would make a really good movie, despite books almost always being better. Would definitely recommend reading this one if you are a fan of 70's-80's horror/slasher movies for sure.

I was hoping for a little more taboo, I think… My taboo meter is likely skewed from all the e sex therapy training I’ve had. Kept me engaged, but no content out is the ordinary for me & my profession.

Good introduction to Ayurvedic practices. Felt like dipping my toes in a bit, would have loved to learn more history of the practice personally, but I suppose I can seek that out in other books as I continue to explore this philosophy.

Incredible! Loved every second of it, couldn’t put it down. I think I have a little post-book sadness happening… I didn’t want to leave it. Can’t wait for the movie even though we know the book is always better… maybe I’ll hit up the audio book in the meantime. so good!

Enjoyed the plot / storyline very, very much! The author has a beautiful writing style, but there were many moments where I thought the story stagnated and there was a lot of “filler” despite the filler being pretty.
