I enjoyed this one a little more than the first. This book continues on from how the first one ended and it really takes a darker turn. The plot was good and I was really enthralled into Addie’s story.

This book is very descriptive and when I say it is descriptive. I MEAN IT. Addie goes through unimaginable things and they are very detailed. Although hard to read and I had to pause once in a while to get through it, it is part of her story and what she goes through, meaning it has a purpose.

P.S. Where did Sibby go?! 🤣 I need answers

This book was so entertaining like the plot was so good. I like that, although the focus is on this crazy stalker romance, each character has their own little side plot going on with them as well. Zade finding and killing these horrible disgusting people while Adeline is trying to solve a cold case from the 40s.

I love Adeline and Zade and i especially love what Zade does as his job and is out there saving people that had their lives taken away. The only problem is that the sex was borderline rapey like I see how it wasn’t in the context that she likes it but it’s little uhmmmm questionable for sure. But each one got better!

Also how dare you end it on a cliffhanger lol ONTO THE NEXT!!

No matter how far I run, how hard I try to escape you—you're everywhere I go. You're everything I see. Loving you is like being trapped in a house of mirrors, little mouse. And I've never felt so at home while being so lost inside you.”

3.75

Love a man who is so obsessed that he finishes just by looking at her. Can y’all say SIMP ALERT?!? 🚨 🤭 hehe anyways ….

I really rate this 3.75 ⭐️’s just because I felt like something was missing. I loved both of the characters and I related to Rue a lot as well and as much as I lovedddd the spice I did feel like it was too focused on it and the characters couldn’t really shine within the relationship. Now I get that in the beginning it said that they don’t know how to show how they feel unless it’s with sex but maybe they could’ve slowly progressed through that lol would’ve loved to see their communication grow.

Good book overall but something was missing:)

I was excited to start this but I think the reason why it was so mid for me was because I watched the movie first and it was in my opinion surprisingly really accurate in comparison. Because of that, it led me to being a bit bored since I knew exactly what was happening. The only parts that peaked my interest were the small little events that were not in the movie like the way Lucy Gray actually won the games for example.

I also usually read first POV books so the way this was told just threw me off a little. Otherwise book was pretty good.

OBSESSED ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED. Back to the first book, Leon is obsessed with Rae right? This man right here, CALLUM?! Girllll this man is wayyyy more obsessed. He is enthralled he is devoured by her presence and cannot stand being one second away from Everly. When I tell you that this arch demon is a SIMP, I am telling you he is a simp!
He is romantic! The spice in this book was on another level and Everly is that B💅🏽

MINOR PLOT SPOILER IN THE QUOTES BELOW!!⬇️

Wowwww just WOW 🤩 this was my first dark romance and I am happy to have started this genre with this book. This book’s plot was great and had me hooked, it was funny, and yes it was spicy but who would’ve thought that a killer demon could be so romantic as well! Will be forever obsessed with Leon!
I love Rae she just dumb af sometimes never failed to make someone mad weather it was me, the reader, or any character in the book lmao.

"You should know that I love you, for whatever that's worth. Stay alive. Don't waste that mortal life."
-Leon

“Funny, I'd always thought I would die angry. That I'd die for hatred and fury. Dying for love didn't hurt any less; it probably hurt more. But I felt better than I thought I would.”
-Leon

I loved it! I love that it’s in a summer camp setting so it was a good way to start my summer reading! It was just such a cute fun summer read. I also love that Russ gives innocent shy boy vibes and then he ain’t so shy and innocent if you know what I mean 🤪
